Well here we are coming down the home stretch for Taste Washington Wine month. Hopefully you have had a chance to get out and explore your local neighborhood wine shops, sample various vintages at great restaurants and maybe have even thought about taking a trip to wine country east of the mountains.
When it comes to local Washington wine a friend on Facebook I know, he and his family have owned and operated one of the best Washington Wineries, that being Matthews Winery.
Jeff Otis from Matthews Winery told me that we can expect to see “Our 2014 Claret (Bordeaux-style red blend) this weekend, which follows our 2013 Claret being named 27th best wine in the world last year by Wine Spectator. Big shoes to fill!”
There are so many great local wineries and more are popping up all over the place. If you would like to sample some be sure and join us for our VIP Taste Washington Wine Event on Mar. 29th at the Paragon on Queen Ann in Seattle at 5:30. Let’s raise a glass to Washington Wine. Cheers!
