in #CASE you missed it… Police Body Cam May Show Officer Planting Evidence
30 second feature on a police body camera may result in three officers being in serious trouble.
A Baltimore police officer is suspended and two others are on administrative duty after the public defender's office says police body camera footage shows an officer planting evidence. The video from a January drug arrest appears to show an officer hiding drugs in a trash-strewn yard and then returning to retrieve them.
Police Commissioner Kevin Davis told a news conference yesterday that the allegations "are as serious as it gets" and will be fully investigated. Prosecutors have dismissed charges filed against a suspect in the case.
The body camera had a feature where it records, without sound, for 30 seconds before being turned on. That time period was when the alleged evidence planting was caught in film.
