in #CASE you missed it… Foods Mom's Order After Having A Baby
Stats on what takeout new moms are eating post-childbirth.
After enduring hours of labor to bring a baby into the world, a new mom is hungry from that hard work. And sometimes the hospital food court is the quickest and easiest solution for mom’s post-delivery meal, but lots of mothers are ordering delivery to get exactly what they want to nosh on as they recover from childbirth. According to research by DoorDash, orders from the maternity ward have doubled in the past year and have jumped 150% since Mother’s Day 2014.
So what are these mamas ordering for delivery to their hospital rooms after their special deliveries? These are the foods moms want the most.
Pad Thai - Women order this noodle dish more than anything else after giving birth.
French fries - They’re hot, salty, satisfy carb cravings, and are a top choice for regaining energy after hours of labor.
Fried rice - This comfort food is always popular, even with new moms.
Wings - They’re spicy and portable, making wings a common choice.
Chips and guac - Avocado is full of good fats, so guac is like health food, perfect for mom to eat after birth.
The Cheesecake Factory - This place has an enormous menu, but we’re guessing most orders from here include a slice of cheesecake.
Buffalo Wild Wings - Their wings and fries help satisfy post-delivery cravings.
P.F. Chang’s - A big portion of fried rice from here can easily feed two people, or one hungry mama who just birthed a baby.
California Pizza Kitchen - With options like pastas, salads, and of course, pizzas, it makes sense CPK is a top choice for moms in the maternity ward.
