The "Songs to do CPR to" list has arrived! Each one on this list has 100 beats-per-minute, which is the right beat to perform CPR to.
In an effort to help train first responders in hands-only CPR, New York Presbyterian Hospital has released a 40-song playlist that includes songs by artists from Beyonce to Lynyrd Skynyrd.
Here are some of the songs on the list:
- 1). Beyonce - Crazy in Love
- 2). Shakira - Hips Don't Lie
- 3). Barenaked Ladies - One Week
- 4). The Bee Gees - Stayin' Alive
- 5). ABBA - Dancing Queen
With every song bumping at the 100 beats-per-minute benchmark, each works as a guide for timing compressions. The hospital site lists out all the CPR steps, but the key number to remember is 100 compressions per minute. That's where the playlist comes in. [Source]
