Since I've started UV Free Red Light Therapy treatments, I've gotten a lot of questions about it from my friends. Here is a little bit of backstory about how NASA discovered red light therapy:
Red Light Therapy involves using 360 degrees of visible red light, which is capable of penetrating the skin on a cellular level. Once absorbed, the light energy is converted into cellular energy, which stimulates the body's natural processes and kicks off a series of metabolic events. Treatments using Red Light have been shown to improve a variety of skin issues including: skin tone and texture, and reduce pore size, wrinkles, and fine lines, increase circulation and lymph system activity, increase production of collagen and fibroblasts, and reduce inflammation. Where I go for my Red Light Therapy Treatments (Desert Sun Tanning) there are two types of sessions:
-Standard Red Light Therapy: A relaxing 20 minute session in a horizontal bed.
-Beauty Angel Red Light Therapy: An energizing 12-minute session that blends light treatment and movement in a stand up booth.
Each type of session is shown to:
- Stimulate circulation and boosts collagen
- Reduces wrinkles, fine lines, and pore size
- Combats acne and refines skin texture
- Smoothes and softens skin
- Helps treat burns, Rosacea, Eczema, Psoriasis, and Athlete's foot
