Northwest Kidney Centers will raise money to support nutrition services for dialysis patients, nutrition education for the public and charity care at its 16th annual Breakfast of Hope Thursday, May 10, 2018. Keynote speaker will be chef Duane Sunwold, who changed his diet to save his kidneys.
Sunwold, a culinary arts instructor at the Inland Northwest Culinary Academy at Spokane Community College, changed his diet after he was diagnosed with kidney disease in 2000. He’ll tell Breakfast of Hope guests how dietary changes can improve their lives too.
Northwest Kidney Centers Breakfast of Hope will run from 7:30 to 8:45 a.m. at the Westin Seattle, 1900 Fifth Ave. The event is free to attend thanks to underwriting from sponsors, and a minimum $150 donation is requested. To register, visit www.nwkidney.org/breakfast or phone 206-720-8585.
