Daily Bender Gazette: Bengal Tiger Was Spotted in Houston Neighborhood!

Police in Houston arrested a man who claimed to be "with the zoo" after a tiger apparently escaped from his residence and roamed the neighborhood. Residents are not allowed to keep tigers as pets. The tiger, which was wearing a collar, was out walking around. A neighbor saw the tiger laying in the grass near his home and called 911. An off-duty Sheriff's Office deputy showed up and spotted the big cat, and a man arriving to get it. He yelled at the man to get the “tiger back inside” while he had his gun drawn. The man brought the tiger back inside. Minutes later, he put the animal in a white Jeep Cherokee and took off. Police chased after him, but he got away. Police later caught up with him. It turns out, the man who was keeping the tiger as a pet has been charged with murder and was out on bond. Now, the 26-year-old faces charges of felony evading arrest for leading cops on a chase. His bond on the murder charge will likely be revoked and he’ll head back to jail.
