Mayim Bialik To Be Interim 'Jeopardy!' Host, Producers Want Her Permanently

Mayim Bialik will be filling in as the host of "Jeopardy!" after Mike Richards steps down. If you need reminding, Richards got in some hot water when old podcast clips resurfaced featuring him making disparaging comments about women and other groups. Bialik was announced as the host for the “Jeopardy!” primetime and spinoff series. Bialik is currently scheduled to tape three weeks-worth of episodes and additional guest hosts will be announced as production continues on the upcoming season.

TMZ reports "Jeopardy!" producers really are doing everything possible to work around Mayim's schedule in order to record as many episodes with her hosting the daily syndicated version, with the ultimate goal of her taking over full-time. Sony bosses have even offered up the possibility of shooting on weekends and normal hiatus weeks to squeeze in more shows with Mayim. She's already locked in for 15 episodes.
