With the Super Bowl this Sunday, lots of Patriots and Eagles fans will be proudly wearing their team gear all over town, but that doesn’t necessarily mean Boston and Philly are the best cities for the ultimate football fans.
Well, WalletHub set out to determine the best and worst cities for football fans, looking at 240 cities on 21 key metrics, including the number of NFL and college football teams per city, average ticket price, and fan friendliness, and the results may surprise you.
Overall, Green Bay, Wisconsin, home of the Packers, took the honor as the best overall city for football fans, with a score of 63.2 out of 100. Green Bay also got kiddos for having the most accessible NFL stadium, and the most engaged fans. As for this year’s Super Bowl-bound teams, both did rank in the Top Ten, with Boston in fourth, and Philadelphia in eighth.
