FDA Issues Nationwide Recall Of Thyroid Medication Over Risk Of Impurities

If you or a family member take thyroid medication, it's a good idea to check exactly what brand you have in your medicine cabinet.

The Food and Drug Administration has announced a voluntary recall for two thyroid medications. According to the FDA, Westminster Pharmaceuticals has recalled some Levothyroxine and Liothyronine tablets as a precaution. The medications were recalled because there could be problems with an ingredient. Anyone taking a recalled medication should continue taking it until they can get a replacement. Full details on what products are being recalled can be found on the FDA website here.
