There's no way on earth young people know what this is, simply because most households do not have it anymore. I got to see it at my grandparents' house. Back in the days, I'm telling kids this part, most stoves needed to lit up with matches, there were no magic stove lighters...... This is a An old time Match holder..People used to put these near the stove and would start a fire in their wood burning kitchen stove... Now, we turn on a knob, on the stove and FIRE.. There was some magic about using a match, I don't know it was different. Remember having matches all around the house? You always needed matches for everything :) ....
