Middle schooler suspended after principal sees his veterans memorial

13-year-old Tyler Carlin spent a good deal of time and effort into creating something he thought paid tribute to the fallen soldiers of his country. But when he got to school, he was hauled before the principal and given a punishment. Tyler Carlin, an eighth grader in Celina, Ohio got suspended for bringing his battlefield cross replica to school because it included a nerf gun. now, he and his attorney are trying to set the record straight. Yeap, the nerf gun was the reason of his punishment. Now matter how hard he explained that he wanted to pay tribute to veterans, he broke the rules.

Faber, the kid's lawyer said he asked the school to delay the suspension before it went into effect, but the school refused.  Do you think this kid should have been suspended?

Group leader for Veterans Forever Inc. say they have created T-shirts to support Tyler Carlin, the Celina Middle School student who was suspended for making a soldier model with a foam gun. Here
