There’s more proof that gorillas are a lot like humans.
University of Cambridge experts have watched gorillas closely and discovered they not only have family gatherings, but parties with old friends. The experts dug through six years of data and discovered that the primates spend a lot of time in their youth with a family group who train then to be adults.
And gorillas regularly meet up with non-relatives around fruit foraging times for what we would call parties. It’s believed that the formation of friendships dates back 10 million years.
It was discovered earlier this year that gorillas mourn the dead like humans.
