A Reddit user claims his fiancé came across a post in the bridal Facebook group Bride Vibes and he shared a screenshot of it to the Bridezilla group on Reddit. The anonymous future bride’s post claims wedding planning was “taking up so much time” that she could no longer get ready for and commute to work and still plan. She’s upset and fighting with her future hubby because he’s flat out refusing to get a second job so he can afford the lavish $80,000 ceremony and reception she wants. Her post asks for advice on how to convince him to work more because she “REFUSES” to have anything less than her “dream wedding,” even though she’s not willing to work to help pay for it.
As you can imagine, Reddit users slammed her for her attitude. There were a lot of comments that she’s “entitled” and not going to be less so as a wife. She was also called out for referring to their nuptials as “MY dream wedding” and for not hearing him out that they were spending way too much money on the event. The groom also got plenty of advice, mostly telling him to see all the red flags and save himself while he can. And one put it simply: “Run, Forrest, Run.”
