As a former Vice President – and current Presidential candidate –Joe Biden is used to talking about uncomfortable topics…sometimes offering tough answers. But when it comes to President Trump, Biden admits he’s often at a loss.
But not because he doesn’t understand what Mr. Trump is doing, but why. In an interview with CNN’s Anderson Cooper last night, Biden said that Trump is playing a "dangerous game" with his tough talk – and that too often, it’s a “dog-whistle” for white nationalists.
While he wouldn't charge Trump as being a white nationalist, he admitted he couldn't understand why Mr. Trump appears so keen to rile that group up. “This is a president who has said things no other president has said since Andrew Jackson,” Biden noted. “He looks like he's just flat abandoned the theory that we are one people.”
