A nine-year-old in Michigan is putting her sewing skills to use to help others. Michaela Munyan learned how to sew not that long ago and she had no idea how much it would come in handy. The little girl has been busy at the sewing machine making face masks to give away.
So far, Michaela has made more than 500 masks and as word has spread of her act of kindness, she’s started getting requests from people and businesses, like restaurants. She’s gotten so many inquiries, she started a Facebook page to help manage the requests. The young seamstress says she plans to continue making them and hopes she inspires others with her good deed.
“It shows kindness to other people and encourages different people to do the same,” explains Michaela.
