TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: 11-Year-Old Takes Wheel To Save Grandma

When his grandmother had a medical emergency, 11-year-old PJ got behind the wheel of her car to save her.

A Georgia boy became a hero to his grandmother when he saved her during a medical emergency. Angela Brewer-Laye and her 11-year-old grandson, PJ, were walking about a mile and a half from her house when she started feeling shaky and seeing spots in her vision. She knew these were signs her blood sugar was getting too low and PJ recognized them too, so he sprang into action to help.

Brewer-Laye says she was trying to steady herself, leaning against the stop sign, when PJ showed up in her car. The boy managed to run back to her house and safely drive her Mercedes over to pick her up. Not only did this 11-year-old drive his grandma home, he pulled her car into the garage, then helped her get out and gave her glucose and some peanut butter crackers, too.

"This child is only 11 years old and drives like a pro," the grateful grandmother says. “He’s an extra special little boy!”
