in #CASE you missed it... While having a hobby and collecting things can be nice, sometimes people go a bit too far. Well, that’s how this man felt about his wife’s “hobby,” but how he handled it is not going over well on the Internet.
The man shares on Reddit that his wife “is a fan of simple foods,” and used to make her own salad dressing all the time. But lately she stopped doing so and started buying dressings instead, and it’s gotten out of hand. “Right now we have two side drawers full of different dressings, I’d say there’s over 20,” he writes. “I’ve tried talking to her about it gently a few times, but she always kind of brushes it off as if it’s just dressing.”
But when the wife recently brought home two more dressings the husband “snapped” and told her she needed to do something about her “weird salad dressing addiction,” adding it’s “getting out of control.” She got angry, and insisted she uses all her dressings every day, but the hubby just couldn’t let go of it. When she want to bed he threw most of them away. “Needless to say, she was pissed when she woke up,” he writes. She ended up leaving to her parents and won’t answer my calls or texts. I called her mom who called me a controlling a****** and told me to leave her alone.”
And while he may have been looking for sympathy on Reddit, he absolutely didn’t get it.
- “Get over yourself and start respecting your wife,” one person wrote, while another added, “Why is this such a big deal to you.”
- “YTA. Was this impacting your life negatively? Was there not room for your food? I doubt it,” read one comment, while another noted, “YTA, she enjoys having different dressings. Why is this such a big deal to you?”
