Man Robbed Several People With Fake Gun In West Seattle, Police Say

A 35-year-old man was arrested after he stole cash from several people in West Seattle using a realistic-looking airsoft gun, according to KOMO.

The string of robberies happened Tuesday night (January 26), starting with the suspect approaching a man and woman near the 4700 block of Fauntleroy Way SW just before 8 p.m. Reporters said he demanded cash and threatened to kill them if they called authorities.

After the victims handed over some cash, he continued down the street. The suspect reportedly pointed his fake gun inside a car with four women inside. They also gave up a small amount of money before he approached another woman in a car outside a bank in the 4700 block of Fauntleroy Way SW, according to KOMO. Like the victims before, he allegedly pointed the fake firearm at her and threatened to kill her.

The man and woman and four women in the car all called the police.

"Police say the man then began banging on the bank’s windows and fled further down the block where police found him and took him into custody," KOMO wrote.

The man was booked into King County Jail on robbery and felony harassment charges. Reporters said the stolen cash was returned to the victims.
