TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: Teacher Appreciation Week. Kids Rock New Song!
It’s Teacher Appreciation Week and an Iowa man created a song to express that appreciation. Donald Gee wrote “Thank You Teachers,” for his mom, who’s a teacher, as well as for all the other teachers that have made a difference in his life.
Gee put out a nationwide call to get others involved. More than 100 students from across the country joined to create a virtual choir and record the song and a video for Teacher Appreciation Week.
"I felt like opening the song up to students around Iowa and around the United States could make the song more complete and a lot more meaningful to a lot more people,” Gee explains, “especially because I think students everywhere wanted an opportunity to say thank you.”
