Woman Celebrates Anniversary By Drinking Beer From 1971 to Honor Husband

Diane & Ed Nesselhuf were married on February 14th, 1971. Shortly after, the couple traveled to Colorado, where they picked up a can of Coors Banquet, which couldn’t be bought anywhere else at that time, and was brewed with “Pure Rocky Mountain Spring Water.” That can stayed with them, unopened, throughout their marriage…even after Ed passed away in 2016. To celebrate their 50thanniversary, Diane decided to pay tribute to her love by finally cracking open that beer and taking a drink. After opening it, Diane was amazed to see the carbonation and suds were still there. She said the beer was surprisingly tasty after all these years, and it was good, even though she “thought it would be crap.” Cheers, Diane!
