The shake machine isn’t broken at McDonald’s in England, Scotland, and Wales, it’s just empty. The chain says they’re running low on shakes and bottled drinks at 1,250 of their locations in those countries due to what they’re calling “supply chain issues.”
A shortage of truck drivers is causing problems for a wide range of businesses in the region, with many having problems getting supplies. McDonald’s is dealing with the shortage the only way it can, by taking some items off the menu.
