Man Gets Surprising Note From Neighbor About His Loud Music

Stories about complaining neighbors are nothing new, but one man recently got a pleasant surprise when his neighbor gave him a note addressing the loud music he likes to play.

A man named Binh Cao shared on Twitter that his neighbor recently slipped a note through his door and of course he had suspected the worst. He had been playing his music loudly and expected to read a complaint, but he actually got the exact opposite.

“Dear neighbor, I live next door and I would like to discuss your music,” it read. "1) Turn it the f*** up. I’m not joking. You play good s***. 2) Tell me what songs you’re playing. I need that s*** for my playlist. 3) I’m not being ironic or anything, I’ve really enjoyed the music you’ve played since you moved in." The letter was signed “Sincerely, Todd. (The male part of the couple next door),” who also asked him to “Send me some songs!"

Well, Binh did just that, making Todd a playlist of 100 songs, which he called “Dear Neighbor.”

  • After sharing the story online, Binh got tons of feedback, with one person noting, “love the energy this gives off.” And apparently Todd wasn’t the only person who's had this idea. Another person shared, “I did that to my neighbor in Edinburgh when they had a party and were playing Miles Davis… it was sooooo good!"
