Now Taco Bell Wants You To Recycle Your Sauce Packets

You know how you collect condiment packages and rarely use them? Then you throw them out eventually? This will stop that kind of waste. The fast food company is partnering with TerraCycle to launch a nationwide pilot program to reuse its signature sauce packets.

The company says more than eight billion packets end up in landfills each year. Sauce users will create a TerraCycle account, put their packets in a recyclable container, print off a free shipping label from the company and ship the packets to them for recycling.

The program is part of what Taco Bell believes could be an industry-wide solution for recycling sauce packets and other single-use food packaging.
