It's SUNDAY, Game day across America. As millions done their jerseys and hoodies and favorite fan gear I decided to take a little closer look at what unique, distinctive traits make up various football fans.
After hours of painstaking research, speaking with pseudo psychologists, drinking copious amounts of beer with friends on the patio and comments from people off the internet my conclusions are as follow:
New England Patriots

Ok so 6 Super Bowl win's over the last 20+ years with the GOAT might give you reason to be smug, arrogant, and a tad bit obnoxious. Now however times have changed and does Coach Bill still have what it takes? If last year was any indication Pat fans might be having to take it down a notch as the Bills look to be the NKOTB.
and speaking of....
Buffalo Bills

Oh the Bills Mafia.... How I feel for ya. I loved the Jim Kelly era. Thurman Thomas, Bruce Smith. Ah yeah and those heartbreaking Super Bowls. Bills fans are strong, hardcore, and loyal. They have seen joy and expeirenced heartache unlike most. They are hearty folk, who brave the elements no matter the conditions. They never give up hope and my gosh they certainly know how to break tables!
Green Bay Packers

Packers fans are some of the best and most well known. Cheeseheads as they are called are far and wide. I was on vacation in Italy in Venice with my wife and wouldn't ya know it the gondola next to us... Packer fans.
They are the salt of the earth kind of folk who's Mom would invite you over for "supper, we're having pot roast" after their team just whopped up on ya and then drive you home after.

It seemed our "Blue ribbon roundtable discussion" with experts ( which translated means drinking Pabst Blue Ribbon with friends on the patio ) was unanimous on this one.
Cowboy fans are the worst. Always going on about being "Merica's Team" and some other type of "yeehaw" nonsense. We have this one buddy who's from Texas and he just won't shut up about "them Cowboys"
It's like dude... ya all aint won a Super Bowl since the Clinton administration so be like Elsa from Frozen and "let it go"
I am happy to say I was fortunate to be on hand in the stadium that day to witness one of the greatest moments in Cowboy playoff history as well as Tony Romo's professional career. The 2006 NFC Wildcard Game in Seattle.

FOR the record: I'm a HUGE Hawks fan or as we are known as 12s. Born and raised 206 Seattle, the team came in the league when I was 6 so I grew up with them. So let me try to be as objective as I can here. For the most part Hawk fans are cool.
We have spent many dreadful years languishing in the cellar of the AFC. We had to endure hardship, ridicule, and mockery. Oh sure things looked bright in 1983 but that hope was extinguished by the time Rick Mirer arrived
Since the move to the NFC things have improved. Hawk fans have always been pretty laid back. Maybe it's micro brews or the fact that lots of folks here in PNW smoke weed I don't know but go to a Hawks game any given Sunday and folks are friendly, outgoing, and fun to be around. ( Again maybe that beer and weed thing ? )
Interested in knowing more keep checking back as we will continue to update you with the latest research from around the league as we dissect it and discuss it around the bar in my house.
Now it's almost time for kickoff so fire up the TV, get the remote, grab the snacks and let's go!
