Newsweek recently partnered with Statista to compile a list of the "best-in-state" hospitals for 2025, which recognized 700 leading hospitals around the country based on factors like quality and patient experience. According to the rankings, the best hospital in Washington for 2025 is Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle.
University of Washington Medical Center in Seattle, EvergreenHealth Medical Center in Kirkland, Swedish Medical Center in Seattle, Overlake Hospital Medical Center in Bellevue, Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane, Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center in Vancouver, Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland, St. Joseph Medical Center in Tacoma, Multicare Deaconess Hospital in Spokane, Providence Regional Medical Center Everett, Swedish Medical Center - Cherry Hill Campus in Seattle and Providence St. Mary Medical Center in Walla Wall also rank among the best hospitals Washington has to offer.

"This year's rankings include facilities in all 50 states and the District of Columbia. The rankings were compiled using quality metrics from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and the AHA Annual Survey of Hospitals Database, a nationwide online survey among medical professionals, results from HCAHPS patient experience surveys and a voluntary PROMs (Patient-Reported Outcome Measures) implementation survey."
