Drew Barrymore is excited about getting older.

The 50 First Dates star is anticipating her very own big 5-0 next month when she reaches the milestone birthday on February 22. Speaking to AARP The Magazine, Barrymore shared her exciting for turning 50 years old, likening the feeling to a Lord of the Rings character longing for the One Ring, per People.

"It can't come soon enough," she said. "I feel like Frodo: I see that brass ring and I'm so excited! I have no issues with aging — this is the happiest I've been in my life."

In a new video with AARP The Magazine, a teary-eyed Barrymore compared the new chapter in her life to that of flipping a record, saying, "You just realize you're gonna live X amount of years, if you're lucky, and I would like to live the second half of my life like the B side of a record, not the same way as the A side."

She added, "My whole life I've been worried and stressed and, like, happy and having the best time ever. I would have never guessed that I would feel peace ... This last decade has been the most ass-kicking and furthering of my life, and it is finally bringing peace."

As for the big day, the Charlie's Angels actress wants to ring in her 50th birthday alongside her daughters Olivia, 12, and Frankie, 10, and by spending time with her friends while doing "some real middle-aged woman s---."
