Adam Sandler returned to the infamous IHOP location to surprise the hostess who didn’t recognize him in a viral TikTok.
Sandler returned to the Long Island location for Milkshake Monday, a charity event that was inspired by the actor’s tweet. On May 3rd, he wrote, “For the record, I only left the IHOP because the nice woman told me the all-you-can-eat deal didn’t apply to the milkshakes."
The promotion donated $1 (up to $50,000) for every IHOP milkshake that was purchased on Monday to the nonprofit Comedy Gives Back, which supports the comedy community with mental health support. The restaurant also offered all-you-can-drink milkshakes at its 19 Long Island stores in honor of Sandler’s tweet. Sandler posed wearing IHOP face masks with hostess Dayanna Rodas, who captioned the video, “Couldn’t have been more excited!! Thank you Adam Sandler!” The girl's TikTok first went viral when she posted a video of her turning Sandler away from the busy restaurant when she failed to recognize the star.
“Pleaseee come back,” the 17-year-old begged in the caption of her TikTok, which showed security camera footage of the hilarious April 25 encounter.
