An Alabama woman who allegedly used money stolen from a bank to pay for cosmetic surgeries was sentenced to 15 years in prison.
The woman pleaded guilty on Monday to 2 counts of robbing a bank in Gulfport, Mississippi back in March of 2019. She gave a teller a handwritten note that read, “you have 1 min to give the money do not be wrong are you die.” The robbery was caught on surveillance video.
That same day police received reports of an abandoned Cadillac near the bank and investigators later determined that the Cadillac belonged to the woman. After police showed photo lineups to bank tellers, they identified the woman as the person who had robbed them. The woman has served 51 months in prison before because she robbed an Alabama bank in 2009.
