With the 2021 Olympics in Tokyo underway, there has been news of cash prizes being awarded to Olympic gold, silver and bronze medalists. 

On Monday, weightlifter Hidilyn Diaz made history by winning the first-ever gold metal for the Philippines. The Filipino government and local businesspeople got together to award her with a house, a condo and $660,000.
